Intuitive Eating

As babies, we are born with the innate ability to regulate our own food intake to maintain optimal health. In an ideal world, we would continue to listen to our hunger and satiety cues (and taste buds) to regulate our nourishment needs, but pressure from loved ones, healthcare practitioners. and our image-obsessed culture can get in the way of our intuitive connections with our bodies.

 

Many people who have experienced weight regain after dieting believe that they have failed, when, in fact, it was the diet itself that failed. The vast majority of diets to not work in the long term for most people, and there are legitimate biological reasons for this. Intuitive Eating is a long term solution to ending the cycle of yo-yo dieting and making peace with food.​
